Hearing is an innate ability for most people. But did you know? Three out of every thousand newborns in Taiwan are born with hearing loss. If they are not detected and treated early, their hearing loss will affect their development of language and various abilities. Fortunately, as long as technological aids, such as electronic ears or hearing aids, are properly used along with listening and speaking training, children with hearing loss can speak and communicate just like other children.
However, growing up with hearing loss is a long journey, and the children face more difficulties and challenges than other people. How can family members support them along the way with love? Let’s watch their stories together.
